What the Focus Group Committee Will Develop
The Committee will evaluate and prioritize pilot concepts that may include:
• Vocational and technical training aligned with real hiring needs and industry input
• Academic progress and “reset” pathways such as tutoring, GED supports, and structured learning routines
• Real‑life skills and workforce readiness, including accountability, communication, budgeting, digital literacy, and interview preparation
• Structured transition planning to support next steps such as employment, apprenticeship pathways, or continued education

A Practical “JUCO‑Style” Model: Reset, Structure, and Momentum
The Partnership is using a Junior College (“JUCO‑style”) lens as a working concept—meaning a structured reset, a two‑step pathway (skills now, advancement next), and a focus on readiness and momentum rather than participation alone.

Committee Workstreams and Early Deliverables
The Committee will operate across five core workstreams:
1. Establish committee governance, membership, and meeting cadence
2. Collect, evaluate, and vote on pilot initiative concepts
3. Identify business and community sponsors and supporters
4. Define academic and credential specifications where applicable
5. Produce an initial pilot blueprint outlining structure, curriculum elements, outputs, and evaluation approach

Early deliverables are expected to include:
• A one‑page pilot overview (plain language)
• A draft curriculum outline (modules, weeks, outcomes)
• A sponsor/partner role map (what help is needed, what partners can do)
